The festiva is the aspire in AU. Same chassis as our american aspires but labeled festiva over there.
If you have a box style festiva like our festivas then you should be able to swap the suspension from the newer festiva (which is a aspire here) and have a brake and suspension upgrade.Last edited by 91_festy_Gl; 01-15-2012, 04:55 AM.89L build thread http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=36422

Our Aspires are 1994-1997 year models. The same years in Aus is called a Festiva if I'm remembering correctly. So I'm thinking you would need a 1994-1997 Festiva in Australia to have the same parts as our Aspire. Good Luck and welcome to the site!!Jerry

thanks mate, so wat ur saying is the brake and suspension system from a 94 - 97 festiva/aspire will bolt straight into the 89 -93 WA festiva/aspire? can i still use the 13inch wheels on it? and is the stud pattern the same or is it the 4x114.3 instead of the WA's 4x100? and also how much bigger are the brakes on the later model and will there be much difference in performance? sorry for all the questions.

2. you will need to use the later 13 inch wheels....
3. ....because of the 4x100 stud pattern on the later Festivas.
4. I forget exact the size difference, but it is definitely a big difference i braking performance. Actually I'd call this the most important upgrade for the boxy Festivas: better brakes, and better tires available.
Do some research. All this is covered in the forum, including how to go about the brake swap.Last edited by TominMO; 01-15-2012, 11:17 AM.90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
