I thought you can bolt on get escort calipers, but not escort rotors exactly?

I don't know about 10" per se... but the FC/FD 4-pots (the same, just different appearance) will work with 276mm rotors as well, which is 10.8". Damkid and I are working up a set of FC aluminum calipers using the 276mm/10.8" rotors... which I acquired from the first generation Mini Cooper S. Stay tuned for updates on that one when DK gets some free time! AFAIK, the 294mm ones are all second generation Cooper S's, as well as the Works Cooper.

If the FC aluminum calipers will work with a 10" rotor, couldn't I just take a set of Rio hubknuckles to a good welding/fab shop and get custom mounts made the the RX7 calipers?

I think the aluminum caliper has been the elusive thing.

I'd be happy to have a full 10" vented rotor with larger pads on aluminum calipers!

More braking with little or no weight penalty, yum.

As for Second Gen RX7, here is wiki:

They ran from 1986 to 1988, and were called "FC."

Aluminum. All 5-lug second gen RX7s from what I have seen in the junkyards. They really aren't hard to find at all.

Wow, crapcans at Road America; that should be interesting. Lots of straights for people to blow engines up on and have brakes fail at the end of. Good luck. I wish it wasn't on a monday-tuesday, so I could come watch.

finaly a set of 15's on a festiva where the brakes fill up the inside of the rim, that looks awesome i cant wait to do this to my car, i hate how tiny my "big brake kit" looks inside my smaller than average rims lol....
