definetely matters what wheels spin, in order to drift you have to keep your rear tires spinning at the right speed inorder to hold the slide at its apex.
Even the AWD subarus you see drifting are convertered to only run RWD on most of them.
Your right however parts are pretty cheap, and if you invest in teh TEINS, you would have a better suppension, plus its light so a B6t with some extra parts would probably be enough power to drift.
