every time i see that trailer it makes me wonder; who are these people that make this crap... they cant even get the cars right! no one drifts 350z's, yet half the cars in the trailer are 350's. i lived in japan, and there surely is a lot of drifting that goes on there, but not on crowded streets its in the little back roads and mountain paths... and they drive real drift cars like 180's, silvia's, rx-7, and the occasional skyline supra and lancer (only the old ones) they show a bunch of heavy ass cars like the 350 and late model evos( they weigh a lot more than early evos)...maybe i should be glad i didnt see a Civic in the trailer. alright i guess my ranting is over

This is why a few months ago I was going to change my banner for my website from:
to: "Tint makes your mom's sweet Accord drift better."
Instead I went with:
www.dantheoilman.com
AMSOIL dealer and window tinter.
Trust me folks, you need www.auto-rx.com
Go ahead and ask me why

Quick...Nestle is quick

You don't need to use the e-brake to slide a FWD car around. Here is a video of mine sliding (a little too far), and I can assure you there was no e-brake involved. Click Here
I slide mine around quite a bit but it's hard to see it in the in-car videos and I don't have a lot of footage from behind the car. FWD drifts are a different strategy than RWD and usually require a lot of corner entry speed.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. custom driveshaft and thousands worth of custom work (unless your damn handy with a welder like i am) and you will have a rwd drifter festy.

I'm not on fire yet, but it's already so hot I may spontaneously combust. Lol.
Short wheelbase and RWD makes for a very difficult drift car. You may as well just buy a miata, strip it bare and drift it, rather than ruining two fun cars. Or buy a starlet and go 13b-rew in it. That would be fun.Last edited by Advancedynamix; 06-21-2013, 07:59 PM.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. I know this is blasphemy on this site, but other than an ultra gnarly rotary, Toyota engines are far superior to Mazda engines. I know I'll get hell for saying that, but having built race cars out of just about every make of car, the Toyota stuff was always the most resilient and well designed. The biggest issue with Toyotas is the cars themselves. They handle poopy. They make a very comfy car that requires very little effort to drive and they run forever with little to no maintenance, but even their sports cars feel like mid size sedans when driven hard. I haven't driven a FRS yet but hear they got the package right this time. I hope so, because I'm sick of driving sporty toyotas and thinking, "the specs on this car are great, but the feel is off". I drove a W10 with a turboed 4A-GZE a few times at PIR and it was fun, but that was a fully prepared race car and made about 300whp and I'm pretty sure my lap times would be faster in my Festy. Rotary Starlet would be worth building. If only to be able to tell people what you drive. (Hot girl at bar) "so, what are you driving big boy?" ..."my rotary starlet". Puzzled look on girls face. Mission accomplished.Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Raid craigs list for toyotas, put the parts on ebay cause toyota parts are really expensive, then use all the fresh cash in paypal to get B series parts cause they are light , fast and last forever!!
