    Suzki Swift Question?

Not likely, but no body has ever tried that I know of

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Why would you? You know the swift and the metro are the same thing right?

What's wrong with the Capri and Aspire stuff? These questions really come out of left field, Matt...

          Re: Suzki Swift Question?

Gabe do you ever have anything other than negativity to post about peoples ideas on here?

The swift gti was FAR from being a metro. I think they even got rear disc.

However it was also far from being a festiva. Any sort of brake swap would be very difficult and not worth it over our documented swaps.

Seriously sometimes I want to reach through the screen and slap you.

Fair enough I suppose. Good luck with these innovative sort of questions though. In that case, your best bet would be to fly out to somewhere with a suitable engine/suspension donor car for sale and drive it back home. I wasn't able to find any Festivas for 100 miles, so I got sasquatch to pick mine up for me and made the trip to his place back in 2007.

I have free access to a lo-mile and running 1.6 twin cam 1998 Protege but I am told these are not B-series engines, and, seeing as they are OBDII the re-wiring of a Festiva to accommodate one (1.5 included) is going to be a substantial amount of work.

ANYTHING will fit in ANY car and work as long as you are willing to engineer it to do so. I've seen Harley Festivas, now Busa Festivas... The METRO/SWIFT is not going to be an upgrade in quality or design over the original Festiva, and especially not over the Aspire.

Wow... I didn't see anything dumb about it. Am I missing something here? The Geo is a suzuki product. Suzuki does VERY well and is very prolific in Japan. In the US, Suzuki got a bum rap, especially with the last 10 years being that most of Suzuki's US vehicles were just rebadged Daewood vehicles. You said: Can you do a brake swap from a Swift (Metro). All I said was yes (anything is possible) but why would you? 8) To answer your question, I think the prizm was great (rebadged Corolla), I think the Tracker was great (rebadged Suzuki Sidekick). That being said, Mazda makes a longer lasting more durable product than Suzuki/Geo.
