  • Buying Tires

Im just wondering what brands most of the users on her prefer, I think ive heard of Falken, Kumho, and Federal being used on here. I just want to hear some opinions, and possibly some cheap places to get tires from, besides tire-easy, and discount tire.

Im looking at getting some Falken Ziex ZE-912 185/60R-14 82H.

    Thanks!

    Buying Tires

I think Toyo proxies are somewhat popular

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

        Buying Tires

I use the bartering system I usually don't pay for tires, but I usually never have performance tires either

One day I'll spend some money on good tires though lol

            Re: Buying Tires

I bought nixxon? Never heard of them. They rate same a the yokahamas I put on my nissan juke, just come in festy size at a lesser price. Hope to be driving on them tomorrow.

I have nixxon on my Z. When I first got her o drove her pretty hard and they were OK for cheapos. The handled well in some general cornering. I didn't push em though as my clutch was toast.

I have discovered, over 40 years of buying tires, that you mostly get what you pay for. The irritation of having an OEM 12" Festy is that "good/excellent" tires no longer exist. I switched over to premium 14s last year and couldn't believe my good fortune at suddenly having a butter-smooth and quiet ride at 70 mph.

I am currently running what I had on my car when I got it, which is Douglas 155sr12s.
Pretty much cheapo Walmart tires, unfortunately Walmart no longer carries them.

Also, if anyone is having trouble searching for 155sr12s, just search 155 80 R12, they are the same thing.

If I decide to stay with 12s, I will be getting these.
