  • Yeah got xr2 trans but not the axles

So i was at the junkyard today picking myself up the trans & axles outta a xr2. Since the one on eBay was "no longer for sale" (Thanks 25horseplay) Anywho this fu*king guy torched both axles to get the trans out. Now the all-mighty junkyard boss guy says you use the ones out of a regular Capri or a 86-89 tracer. Any ideas? I called most "60" of the junkyards in Illinois to find one drive for many a hour to get them and they ruin my day by torching the outer axles. Oh i did get the inner passenger side one, forgot  what it was called. So any other cars to get the outer axles from or go to auto-zone & get replacements.

If you have the intermediate shaft that bolts to the block then you have the hardest part to get. The half shafts are available from autozone and advance auto. Just get some from an escort gt or similar for cores and turn them in later.

The intermediate shaft is the part that is NOT available. If you have that then your on your way.
