I plotted the graph below in a text file to help visualize some of the tire sizes seen in the forums.
Unfortunately the posting software destroyed the spacing in the graph and table.

    Graph of Tire Sizes

Some of these tires do not fit a stock Festiva but can be
used with non-stock rims, brakes, or springs. Consult the forums.

    Tire sizes look like 145/80-12.
To get the width in inches mulitply the first number by 0.03937
    eg 145 * .03970 = 5.7"
To get the height in inches mulitply the first two numbers and
0.0007874 and add the third number
    eg (145 * 80 * 0.0007874) + 12 = 21.1"

    Tire Size Width Height
    --------- ----- ------
    1 145/80-12 5.7" 21.1"
    2 155/60-13 6.1" 20.3"
    3 155/80-13 6.1" 22.8"
    4 175/60-13 6.9" 21.3"
    5 175/70-13 6.9" 22.6"
    6 155/65-14 6.5" 21.9"
    7 165/55-14 6.5" 21.1"
    8 165/50-14 6.5" 21.8"

Very nice of you to remind us of tire sizes. I am perfectly happy with my Finnish Nokian 155/65-14s. Quite obvious that there are very few equivalent diameter 'other' choices. I figure if you're 'long term' serious about Festys the very first mod to do is to get the "H", or "F", out of 4 x 4 1/2 inch bolt pattern, and 12" rims. Immediately 13, 14s or even 15s are within reach. You can play with OEM Festy stuff until you are blue in the face but the simple swap over to Aspire/Rio-derived brake and suspension parts instantly liberates you/us from the Stone Age. By today's standards OEM Festy solid and captive rotors are a joke, as is the rare bolt pattern.
Do not plan to dress up a Festy (we're talking engine upgrades too) unless there is a donor Aspire (or a trailing arm off one, at the very least) close at hand. "Bubble cars" may have had little appeal to the buying public but their brakes and suspension improvements are a real benefit to previous generation Festys.

Better but now proportional spacing throwing it off, sigh.

What all this says to me is: Goodbye 12s. My wheelbarrow uses 8s and the utility trailer I use carries leftover Aspire tires. 12s are scary since no one carries anything but 3rd world versions and I was a complete idiot and bought 2 dozen of the very last Goodyear 12" snows when they were discontinued in 2010. It may be that golf carts use 12s but I doubt it.
