    ok, 2 questions:

    1. what size tires do you guys with stock 12" rims use? 145R or 155R, and

    2. what is a good 14" rim for the festiva? and wouldn't you have to recalibrate the speedometer after you swapped the rims?

I've used 155Rs ever since the first set of 145s wore out.
The 145s hydroplaned worse and are hard to find.

I run 195 45 14, these are about the same size as the stock tires so no recalibration was needed! If you are looking for 12" it is easier to find the 155r12's.

if you're wanting to use 14" rims, then get 185/60 tires for it. this change in tire size will correct your speedometer to read actual road speed. I've had mine tested on a rolling road and against radar and my speedo matches the indicated speed on the other two devices.

::WARNING:: IF YOU DO THIS, YOU WILL NOTICE A DECREASE IN FUEL MILEAGE. this is NOT because of the wheel/tire combo, it's because your smaller tires have been giving you inflated MPG numbers because they are turning more revolutions per mile than what your speedo is calibrated for. (Actual MPG will not change)

            The 145's have a diameter of 21.13".

The 155's have a diameter of 21.76", that is 2.9% larger than 145's so you speedo will be off that much.

The 185/60/14's have a diameter of 22.74" and that is 7.09% larger than the 145's.

No way your speedo is accurate unless you let out most of the air out of the 185's.

speedos schow stock some % more speed than it is real.

mazdas have about 7-8% i think. my 323 and my mx5 both did do.

stock is 185/60 14 and with 205/40 17 the speedos showed exact speed.
with the stock rims the showed around 7% more speed.

maybe thats how they cheat a bit on mpg and acceleration numbers.

Great, but what type of wheel would work? Is it possible to put a 14" rim on a Festiva without doing the Aspire swap?

If you don't mind my asking, 25, what did those wheels come off of? They look good.

As for the sticky, will any of the wheels with the same pattern as a fest work? (such as, 92-99 Honda Prelude)

Sorry for multiple posts, but I'm having a connection issue and can't post more than a sentence or two at a time. I'm trying to get it fixed.

The wheels are aftermarket, they are TSW Alpine's. As for if all the wheels on the list will fit, not sure the list is only for reference to which cars have the same bolt pattern. The backspacing may be different and affect the actual fitting to the car.
