Aspire front control arms?

Will Aspire control arms work on a festiva? I was told I need to get Aspire axels as well. I already have aspire brakes. Just want a second opinion. Thanks!

If you're using all the other parts, then you should be fine. You will end up with a slightly wider track

We looked up the diff at Madness 6. I THINK the Aspire ones are about 3/4 of an inch longer. The amount isn't much, whatever it was. They will work, there was a smidge of trouble getting them in, but nothing too big a deal. I would be interested in getting some measurements with stock Festiva axles for camber and toe, then swap in Aspire axles and see if anything changes.

If you use aspire LCA's you should use aspire axles - this will net you more camber. Festiva LCAs -> festiva axles. I don't think swapping the steering rack will get you anything - but I'm not sure, as I've never tried it.

^ the aspire steering rack itself is the same width and bolts in the same, only difference is the gear/rod inside the aspire rack is a bit thicker. Numbers are somewhere, I think mental marks bushing thread if you want to know the specifics. The inner tie rid ends is where the difference is, aspire tie rods are longer.

When I did the Aspire swap initially I used Aspire control arms. Castor/camber was way off and the Festy driveaxles released from the tranny within 30 feet of driving. Reverting back to Festy LCAs (you do have to use Aspire/Escort/Rio tie rods) immediately corrected all that. No doubt you could use Aspire LCAs and Aspire driveaxles but you'd have to modify/alter the struts in order to straighten up the wheels. Too much like work I figured just to gain about 3/4 inch on the wheelbase.

Is the ratio the same? If it had a quicker ratio I'd like that, if its the same or slower (which I have a feeling it is) then I don't see the point - unless you need the longer arms in order to have enough adjustment.

With one of our cars we have enough negative camber that in order to get the toe right there are only 1-2 threads left on the inner rod ends (i.e. getting "shorter). If we have to adjust any further than that we'll have to shorten the threaded portion of the outer rod end and use a thinner locking nut. Or we could run a little less camber!
