  • Cusco Pillowball mount upgreade kit for festiva

this might help with our suspension upgrades in future.

if anyone is looking for pillowball mounts for their ride, raises the ride by 15mm in the front, they are available from japan

the info and part numbers can be found here:

    http://www.cusco.co.jp/en/pdf/Pillow...ount_mazda.pdf

there is also a universal one for the rear struts here too that look really ideal for our rides. according to the ad, it says it might raise the rear too.

    http://www.cuscousainc.com/downloads...unt_letter.pdf

Seems to be the only factory set that will work (with the possibility of modifying the rear to fit)

    .. looks quite nice too.

Cusco might send them outside of japan, you'll probably need to email them to see if they have them in stock.. or ask for their dealers then you'll need to find a service that will be able to send to the US/Canada from japan as i don't think they send items to the outside of japan. look for a service that will send items outside of japan. that's how i'm getting a few items.

I seem to remember FMS had pillow blocks available for a while but it seems they were sort of homemade and of his own design. enlighten us. what are the advantages of pillow blocks? or is it just another expensive geegaw that adds (or possibly subtracts) immeasurable performance gains on a street driven festiva?

Pillow ball= smoother suspension travel within the geometry iirc. Reduces chance at binding. Inhances ability to "dial in suspension settings".....iirc.

you mean to tell me that for the last 37 years I have been driving a wide range of non-pillow block equipped foreign and domestic cars with notchy, rough, chattering suspension travel that could have bound me into a locked death spiral any time I turned the steering wheel?

its something like being the best in the west with a six gun and then there's a flash of light and all three Boondock Saints show up with 13 shot magazine fully auto in each hand
