About the same weight as my 13 X 5.5" Estrellas. Not bad at all!
And very very very nice looking!! Too bad there are no more 185/55-13 or 195/55-13 tires to mount on them.
Your best bet are probably 185/60s.
Karl'93GL "Prettystiva" ticking B3 and 5 speed, backup DD; full swaps in spring!
'91L "AquaMutt" my '91L; B6 swap/5 speed & Aspire brakes, DD/work car
'92L "Twinstiva" 5sp, salvage titled, waiting for repairs...
'93GL "Luxstiva," '94 B6 engine & ATX; needs overhauled
'89L "Muttstiva," now a storage bin, future trailer project

Yes you are right,Aspire swapped-Originally posted by avitsefdrof View PostNice rims....wow......are you doing a swap? I was informed that a 4 x 100 wont fit on a stock festy...
Bummer I should have known someone else had these. I'd love to get a set of 15x7 for summer that would be cool.Originally posted by DriverOne View PostHey, those are the same wheels that Lanemeyer put on his car!
Got em for 2 bills Charlie, the fella stayed up till 11:30 on a thurs waiting for me. I left at 9:30 and called him and said its gonna be a while are you sure you want me to come this late? When he said he'd wait up no problem,I new I could talk him down. He had them on CL for $250 also. For two hrs I drove at 45 mph, if I "Gassed" the B3 it would just spin and slide over to the shoulder. It was the WORST ice I've ever seen. Pulled out of my drive and couldnt turn, and slid right up to my mail box. :sad3:Originally posted by Advancedynamix View PostNice rims! This is my third winter with the General A-Arctics and I'm very pleased with them. They're on my VW alloys in size 175/70-13. They seem to do as well in snow as my all season Nokian W snows, but I think the Nokians handled a little crisper.

Karl there are so many Nokians in our size, next year I'll try the the Nordman 4. I'm going to weigh my generals when I get them for future refernce(can compare with generals specs). I'm sure the Nokians will out perform the generals, just not sure if it will be night and day. I've logged 40k on two new sets of Firestone Winter Force and 15k on the Generals. Hands down the Generals are a better tire. The ONLY time the Firestone's were better was in snow 3ft deep. Get them on smooth wet pavement and all they did was under steer and squirm at high speed. But next year I'll try the Nokia's "Nordman 4" for sure!Originally posted by Safety Guy View PostThis is my third winter with the General A-Arctics and I'm very pleased with them.
