Front brake dust shield or no shield

I am rebuilding my front brakes (new bearings seals and calipers rotors etc). The car will only see nice sunshiny days. Should I leave the shields on the hubs or remove them? They are beyond repair, so If I need them I will have to replace them.

Order some new ones from Four Green.
Mine are for an Aspire. $3.92 ea.

If you have a part # for '05 Rio front hubs I will definitely buy a set.
