  • Rotor recommendations

I am near ready to purchase the rotors for my build car. Anyone have any specific recommendations? I am thinking I will go with either the slotted or stock style rotors. But I want a quality product. So far I am thinking R1 Concepts or maybe Power Slot. Really diggin' the Power Slot slotted rotors. Probably also going to get a nice set of remanned' caliper assemblies for both sides. I have '05 Rio hubs.

What about pads? Not a dd but probably hardly ever see a track either. Just some good ole' fashioned high spirited driving. Ceramic/ Composite? Unobtanium? lol

Depends on how much you plan on driving it. Is it gonna be a trailer queen or is it gonna get driven to shows?
Trailer queen, I'd go with slotted and drilled rotors for the look.
I'm running performance rotors on my Blue car from rockauto.com.
It won't be a DD but will be driven and driven hard when it's on the road.

Then I'd go with a performance rotor.
On the pad question, the harder the pad, the more often you will have to replace the rotors. I run a softer pad and deal with the dust since it's cheaper to replace the pads than the rotors. I've had no issues with stopping on my silver one with an Aspire swap and Aspire Master cylinder.
And I drive it like a bat out of H@LL.
I avg 70-75 on the drive to work most days and faster on some days. Depends on the traffic speed.
