Going to order new rear struts for the festy. ill need new dust boots for sure, but not sure about the mounts. the one inside the car and the one underneath the fender well seem to be in good shape. no breaking rubber, brittleness or anything falling apart. but just wondering, do they need to be replaced with the struts just as a precaution? and also, anyone know what size the dust boots are? id measure but both of mine are torn up and missing large chunks of it. thanks in advance.

Wrap your head around upgrading to more modern/better/easier to service brakes by starting to swap over to Aspire stuff. Rear shocks are identical (dust boots/rubber pads etc except for the higher spring perches on the shocks and the stiffer Aspire springs).

I had Monroe's on my dd for a long time. That was until my mother wrecked the car ever so slightly into a ditch. I replaced them with all new in for the rebuild with Monroe's again. No complaints for everyday back and forth to work no frills driving. Cheap too. I have always taken the dust boots off if they were too worn and leave them on if they are good. Never had a problem.
