  • What tools do i need to remove Aspire brake parts?

Going to be pulling brake parts from '95 Aspire. Guy selling the parts is 20 miles away, so thought I'd see if anyone can name some of the tools I'll need to bring.

First tools that come to mind are a floor jack, jack stands, set of sockets, 30mm axle socket, breaker bar, cheater pipe, pickle folk, tin snips and of course a hammer but thats just off the top of my head. I'm sure theirs more I'll need to bring. Any thoughts?

Also bring a 29mm socket. That's what most of them require.
I use a flat screwdriver and hammer to un-stake the axle nut.
Bring wrenches too. While taking off the 17mm lower strut bolts with your ratchet, you will need a 17mm wrench to hold the head of the bolt.
I've never needed a pickle fork, but it's probably easier to pull the tie rod ends with one.
    Never needed tin snips.

PB Blaster or other high quality creep.

Are you taking off the whole rear axle, or just want the front brakes?

If rear axle, letting stuff soak in PB Blaster could help a lot. Also, a selection of 3/8" and 1/2" socket sets and extensions makes the bracket bolts easier to deal with.

I've found at least one thin wrench to get the top of the rear shocks off (if the bottom shock bolt is not cooperating) might be necessary (counteracting nuts at strut top).
