  • Kia Rio Strut Mount 180 degrees

I just noticed that the strut mount positions on Trixie appears to be wrong on one side.

There are four divided circles on the top of the mount and they are both facing to the front of the car.
I noticed that the space between the mount edge is wider on the outside on the passenger side (near the fender)
and wider on the inside (near the engine) on the drivers side.
I know you can adjust the camber on the Festiva by rotation the mount..so is it the same for the Rio Struts.

If so, does anybody know which way is correct for the least positive camber. (more space on the inside or more space on the outside?)

Anyone that has Rio strut mounts.... can you tell me which position the little divided circles are facing on each side?

I think the Rio mounts are symmetrical, unlike the Festiva mounts.
Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

Yes... it looks like you are correct.
I checked out a 2001 and a 2002 Kia Rio at LKQ today.
One had the divided circles facing front on the Left side and back on the Right side.
Another had the divided circles facing front on both Left and Right side..
I all cases the larger space between the mount and the opening for it was toward the outside.
