  • Need wheel dimension information

I have an aspire swapped car and it is currently running 195/60/R14. my question is will a 205/50/R15 tire fit with a 15X7 wheel with any issues?

Most 15 inch rim guys run a 195/50/15. They are inexpensive.

205/50-15 tire will have some clearance issues on a Festiva. 165/45-15 tires fit on 15x7 wheels and fit nicely on a Festiva without rubbing and without changing your gearing or affecting your speedometer calibration much. These cars are very light, and tend to ride better and get better traction on narrower (195mm and narrower) tires.
I have personally run several sets of 165/45-15 Federal Formoza FD1 tires on 15x7" rims with great results. You can find these tires for around 65 dollars a tire with free shipping online. eBay is a good source. If your lucky you'll find a retailer in your area with these tires and they will give you a offline cash discount. I've heard 45 a tire for these is a typical cash in person price.

Thank you guys for the help, i just recently took on a new bp project that needs to be cleaned up a bit and i was looking to go from a 14x6 to a 15x7. this will help a little bit on the total cost of the wheel and tire package. i also plan on swapping to a coilover setup to prevent wheel scrub

What offset are your 15x7 wheels? I have the Aspire brake conversion front and rear on my festiva and am considering a set of 14x7 ET25 wheels that I found. I understand that the Aspire comes stock with a +48 offset so the 25 would cause the wheels to stick out about 9/10 inch (23mm). However, this may be necessary to accommodate the much larger than stock wheel width. You don't use spacers do you?

i have a set of stock 92 escort gt fanblade wheels and i was wondering if 165 50 r15 would comply with my fender wells? i plan on swapping to the vw rabbit kyb rear struts with a civic style coilver. the only reason that i will be running the 165 50 15 instead of the 165 45 15 is because of the availability.

165 50 should work fine, as the 165/45 are slightly smaller than the stock 12" wheels. The Escort wheels should fit fine as well as long as your car is aspire swapped.

No problem, actually I should be thanking you. I didn't know that tire size was available. Both the 165 45 and 165 50 are widely available in several different brand choices through online tire warehouses. An EBay search is a quick way to find them.
