  • will aspire brakes fit the festiva trailing arm?

anyone know if the aspire brakes will bolt up to the festiva arm? I installed my swap and found out the the aspire arm is bent all to heck. I'm prolly gonna try swapping the brakes over anyway, but if anyone knows anymore about it I'd appreciate the info. Thanks

ok, well, as soon as I get home today I'm gonna take off the aspire arm and start tearing it apart, cause its too bent to do me any good anyway. I'll let ya'll know how it turns out, and if anybody has any info, holler at me!

Let us know if that works, although you won't have the rear sway bar thing in the Aspire rear axle.

it doesn't work... it *might* be possible, but it would require drilling two holes on each side. There are four bolts on each brake assembly, and the upper two don't match in location. They are pretty close though, so if you did redrill it the new holes would overlap the old ones and it might weaken things too much. I decided just to put the festiva brakes back on for now... btw, the aspire e-brake assembly doesn't work with the festy trailing arm either... its too long and doesn't ever tighten up.

Festiva Motorsport did have brand new Aspire rear beams awhile ago, they were priced pretty reasonable too!
