best rims size for my '88 festiva?

I own an all stock '88 festiva in S.F. for a year now. The tires are all worn out and desperately needed replacement. Checked out the prices of tires for the stock 12' wheels.... damn it's $50 apiece including labor and taxes..... I think it shouldn't cost too much more to get some custom 13" rims, right? My questions are where can I shop these rims or maybe the 12" tires? And what sizes will fit best on an 88 model with no other mods? Thanks in advance for any info, helpful or not : )

don't pay anymore than 33 a tire for 155r12's

if you want 13's get the konigs from FMS they're duel pattern so they will work if you do the aspire swap in the future

Where are you located ?
Walmart last year had 12's for the festy $9.96 a tire !!
I only paid $28.00 a tire for my 175/70R13 Uniroyals from Wally world

i priced 12's here in MT at walmart a month or two ago and they were $24. $50 is a lot for such a small tire.

I live in San Francisco, CA. Have asked several shops providing the choices of Kumho, Geostar, Nankang. All around $90 a pair with mounting. It's a little to pricey for tires in this size..... I'm still thinking if I should just go for the 12" or get a set of Konig Incident. Any suggestion?

When shopping at Walmart their tires will always be cheaper ,like Douglas brand .
When shopping for specialty tires , like Falken, Kuhmo...
You will always pay more for those .
Have you tried online ,like Discount tire direct ??

Walmarts in my area do not carry 12" any more. I can't even order them; it's pretty ridiculous..... I can only find some selling at around $25 online. With shipping and mounting, I think it'll be $90 for a pair, then it's the same to just buy straight from those shops that I've asked. Maybe I'll have to go for them.
