  • caliper bleeder broken/difference in auto and manual caliper

I'm doing my aspire swap and as I was opening up the bleeder it twisted right off. Where is a good place to get a good reman. caliper? I don't know if I really want to get a junkyard one cause then I might have it happen to me again. I'm so close to getting this done and this is the only thing holding me up. Also is there a difference in the auto and manual calipers?

    manual/ auto caliper

Yes they are different from manual to auto. Autos are slightly bigger as are the rotors, as far as buying a junkyard one, I work at a junkyard and we always crack the bleeder screws for cutomers so they dont wreck them,, A good tip is to heat with a propane torch then splash some cold water on them, ive never had them break doing it this way. Also if your working on a automatc aspire and can't find one try using a caliper from a 91-95 escort, just make shure it has the 13" wheels not 14" or GT,

I tried putting heat on it before it broke but I guess it wasn't good enough. Now I have everything on the car and I drove it to test drive it and the caliper on the right side must be sticking because there was a cloud of smoke when I stopped the car. Do you know of a place to get some cheap reman. calipers?

Ask for loaded calipers, they come with brake pad on them
