Since my modified Aspire beam was all clean and shinny today, I put it and a Festiva beam on the scale to see what each weighed. This is beam only, no brakes.
A stock 93 Festiva beam with no rear brakes but with all the mounting tabs for securing brake lines, hoses and parking brake still on weighs 27.8 pounds.
The stripped 96 Aspire beam with no rear brakes, all the mounting tabs and the torsion bar removed, weighs 28.5 pounds. I think the Aspire beam is made from just slightly thicker steel.
But the two beams are really pretty close in weight. The torsion bar by itself weighs 3-lbs.
I'll get a total weight once I get the rear hubs modified and mounted....
