Does anyone know the difference between the brake rotors on an automatic vs. manual trannied Aspire? Does this affect the swap into a Festiva in any way?

I think the Auto ones are about 4mm thicker, and a bit heavier,
maybe 2 pounds more.
All bolts up the same, don't remember any problems when
I put the Auto Rotors on the 5speed, parts store had them cheaper.
calipers are also different (auto caliper larger than man caliper).
IIRC Karl said 1.5lbs extra for the auto rotors as apposed to manual...
search, its on here somewhere.

Nate's right. In the Raybestos PG Plus rotors I weighed, the pair of auto rotors was 3 pounds heavier than the manual rotors. And yes, the auto rotors are about 3 or 4 mm thicker.
If you use auto calipers, get auto rotors. They go together. All other parts should be the same.
I see no need for the thicker rotors unless you anticipate really heavy use of your brakes. Just my opinion! The Aspire brake upgrade is really effective with the manual rotors and calipers, and you are saving 1.5 pounds per front axle of unsprung weight. Which would you choose, all other things being equal: wheels that were 1.5 pounds heavier each, or lighter? Remember, this is also rotating weight! Same as a wheel or tire. Weight savings here are maximized!
