I went to my local junkyard to remove the rear axle from an aspire I was working on only to find out that they had crushed it! They have two new aspires in the yard but they are standard. Can I use the rear axle assembly from a std vehicle for my swap? I already have the spindles, rotors, calipers, from the automatic aspire.

The only difference in Aspire rear axles that may exist is with the antilock brake models.
Two and four door Aspires of all years without ABS should be the same.
I once had a theory that the four door models might have heavier rate rear springs, but I've never been able to test that, and I now doubt it to be so.

i was at a local scrapyard today asking about the rear axles on aspires and he told me that his computer said there is a difference between two door and four door aspires, if this is true, which should you have for the swap?
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
