Won't simply painting the wheels just chip away during daily use?

Nope, my buddy's escort has had flat-black wheels for over 3 years now with only a couple of chips.

I cleared mine so mine should be good for awhile. scrubbing all the dirt off is key to the paint sticking. If you read the how-to you'd know all this lol.

here is how they look on the car....shitty pic but whatever. I'll get better ones tommorrow:

I used the same paint....I did that a year ago and they doesn't chip during normal driving....(it's another thing if you go offroading in the gravel...) the problem is tire mounting... it chip around the edge even if they have the mag machine.. and the balancing machine can also damage if they doesn't use the right thing to hold the wheel...

And btw they went trough salt and winter....

sweet man, looks good. Yeah my roomate used 99 cent flat black household spray paint and his haven't chipped off in like 2 years. Maybe a couple here and there but nothing major & no flaking.

Everyone keeps telling me "why'd u waste ur time doing that"...I guess they don't realize the shit doesn't chip as much as you'd think.

Wil - I typed my reply, looked back again at the how-to and then edited and posted. I must've still missed it...

At any rate, they look really nice! The pic of them on your car isn't working.
