  • Backspacing,need some help...search didnt help much

I need to know backspacing on the festivas. I found the wheels I want for a kick ass deal, and I wont be anywhere near my festiva for about a month. If someone could help me out I would appreciate it.

38mm seems to be what everyone uses.. My Konig 13's have 38mm backspace.

The backspacing for the 4" x 12" rim is 4" and the backspace for the 4.5" x 12" rim is about 4.25". I run 5.5" x 13" rims and a 4" backspace with 185/70 tires and I don't have any clearance problems on the inside. I do roll the top edge of the fender under for clearance on the outside since the tires are tall (70 series).
xpnsyd's dimension is the offset which requires a formula to figure out.

No problem. Some people interchange the 2 words, too. They will ask for the offset when they have no idea how to figure it and really want the backspace specs. The backspace dimension is easier to find since all you need is a straight edge and a ruler.

we are going with the 31 series...i dont have exact weight specs, but I have been told they are around 10 lbs. I will be getting the 13x6 wheels probably with 3.5in backspace. I think that will put the tire just outside the fender and at some point I will mold some fender flares on. We are hoping to find a set of 175x50x13 tires.
