  • Aspire Swap + 323 GT Master Cyl....Done!!!

I just got Mextiva out of the shop,I did the Aspire conversion including the Mazda 323 Master Cylinder.Everything was installed in the Yellow Festiva I bought from a local member.I have no experience in bleeding the brakes and one of the hub bearings was making lots of noise..I took in the shop for this two things plus aligment.
When I dropped the car off,I told the guy who received Mextiva not to forget to close my hood pins so the hood would not open on them,Bad news,It did opened. Its not bad,I jus have to find another hood and replace this one,Its a little bented but it opens and closes fine for now.
The total of labor and bearings, aligment would come to like $300...I got off paying 0 and have to fix it on my own...

We tried the brakes this afternoon and they seem to perform well.I have some used tires on the back that came with the yellow Festi and the car shakes over 75 mph...
    I'm Happy!!!

Cowl tears?? Every time that's happened to me, I had to repair the cowl where the hinges ripped through it on each side.

I did not lock my hood on my S-10 , long time ago , hood came up at 30 , and the cowl on the hood went clear thru the windshield .
Fiberglass hood ..the only thing it damaged on the hood was the paint on the edge , the wiper cowl was wadded up where the hinge arm goes up . and a hole thru the windshield .

I cracked my windshiel last time....
I got the rear FMS springs on and not good @ all,it rubs too much...I think I'm either going to stock springs or going with 13's...The springs are too soft.

Sho tyme, did you use the XR2 brake master cylinder? Did you use the brake booster too? I just want to clarify.

                        Thanks,

I used both. I really need a side pic so you can see the differance. Also it has 4 lines off of it so I had to redo the lines up front.

Thanks Sho. I may be up for a different setup on either "Speedstiva" or the Mutt when I rebuild her.

You have to make a small bracket to extend to the pedel to the booster, it is easly made with a peice of stock with 2 holes in it.
