I'm at the wrecking yard taking parts of an Aspire for a brake swap on my Festiva, and wonder if there are any additional pieces or parts I might want to get off of this nice clean '97 while its there?(112, 000 miles)
I've already gotten home the rear axle, brakes, rims/tires for my '91 5-speed; with the front steering knuckles, calipers, etcetera in a box awaiting pick up.(should be everything?)
Are there other Aspire parts I need to snag as long as I'm there, a nice automatic coupe with air-conditioning. I'm getting the timing belt cover since my Festiva's is heat distorted, and perhaps the seats if they fit and also are that much better.(?)
I'm wondering if there is anyway the Aspire front anti-sway bar can be used on the Fesitva? Would this be advantageous?
I'm also curious if any small parts on the struts might interchange with a Festiva's since when I installed the FMS lowering springs I used the existing little pieces and now have high pitched "scrinch" noises at all four corners when I hit a hard bump or sharp fast dip.(which slowly seems to be getting less noticeable so that I wonder if metal is being worn down to where the abrasion is insignificant?) Are any interchangeable strut parts greatly better than the Festiva's?
And, are any engine/front bay parts interchangable; like thermostat & related pieces; idle-air/bypass; fan or wiper relays, switches, etcetera; master cylinder; ANYTHING likely to wear out or need replacing on my car?
