  • More work (suprise suprise)

    I have been busy today.
The original plan was to put in some new springs (the car is a little bit too low) so that Claire and I can enjoy it without getting a busted back.
That- and the fact that when the full interior is in, the car sits at 97mm at it's lowest point, making it illegal in our state (min. 100mm).
So- i bought some new springs, and (as i usually do  ) i thought 'why not tidy up here too'. So i bought some cleaner, paint, and tape.

It's amazing what a bit of 'spit and polish' can do. I'm very happy with the results so far. Rear next....

What type of paint did you use? I was thinking of doing this with spray on bed liner.

            Update, 1st July.
The rear suspension and brakes are now done- and i bought some tyres for my 15s (so i don't damage the 17s during body and paint).

^^The Yellow springs are a 2" drop from standard, yet are twice the height of the spring that came out.

Paint colour is not 'set in concrete' yet. Due to the effort needed (engine bay- and beleive me- it's not easy to get to the bolts as easy as it was before), i will stay with the same base- only change the pearl (or add more pink?)
I will have the guys fix and modify the body and then grab a few samples after that.
BTW- i am shaving rear centre stop light, rear washer jet, closing in the front clip, shaving the antennae, shaving rear bumper reflectors, and adding some kind of hood scoop / air duct.
It goes in next week, for about 6 weeks.
