Thanks Jim !!! I will probably have a (many) question(s) before its all done.
It will be clean and have lots of new parts even if it never runs. Its a labor of love !

WARNING GROSS dont look if you have a weak stomach

Working on the car again today. As Ive mentioned before when I found this car it had been sitting in a junk heap next to a pasture for some time. Im waiting on parts and for some paint to dry so I thought Id switch out some interior panels. I opened the door and the mouse stench hit me. Ive done every thing I could think of to eliminate this odor. Couldnt take it any longer, decided to strip the interior and get down to bare metal. Here is what I found, somehow the mice had been getting under the carpet and living there. No wonder the thing still reeked. Bought some industrial disinfectent, going to take care of this once and for all. Might have to stop and gag a few times. :pukeright: I should get an award for saving this car. I havent found a single wire thats been chew on at least.

I just had flashbacks to the day I stripped the interior of the Silver Bullet. After sitting in my parents' back field for 10 years, there had been several generations of mice living in it. There were nests everywhere, to include all the ducting, inside the squirrel cage fan, and even within the hollow frame sections in the bottom of the passenger compartment. I had to pitch the carpet. There was no saving it.

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I used all my Live bateria stuff on the seats which smell good now. Ill have to pick some more up tomorrow. There is a distributer across the street from where I work, I might see if they will sale me another gallon. It will do the job now that I can get to the source. Right now the interior is bathed in some commercial pine scented disinfestant.
