          updates!

I now have '90 LX front and back seats!! bought them for $50 on friday and installed them on monday, I'm sure likin them! Oh, I also got a cargo light and latch included on that $50 Now I think the only thing missin to have full LX options is an underseat tray, and tilt steering, both things that don't mean much :p Oh, and I still have to install the door panels too.

Got my cargo cover functional too! Thanks for the strings eskimo!

Oh, and my brake light came on, then a little later I had to put the pedal about all the way to the floor to get the brakes to work :| So I checked the fluid and it was completely gone! I then filled it, and checked it again a little later, and it was gone again! So my dad looked at it a little bit, and he said the MC was leaking, so we called NAPA, and they wanted $51 for one, so I told them we'll think about it. Afterwards, I went down to a parted out 2000 Escort, and grabbed that MC, and it bolted right up! All I had to do was splice the 2 wires together so the brake light would still work. Still might try and see if the booster will fit.

No, not really any difference in the breaks.

Appreciate the offer, but I think I'm just gonna leave this one in for now.

BTW, how hard are they to change?

Oh, I also painted up the undercarriage a few days ago, painted the wheel wells too, and painted my calipers and drums blue.

                    thinkin about these rims http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/pts/1279229108.html

what's the best 14" tire size?

                    • I like those rims. 14 x 6 is what my RX-7 wheels were. Can't remember what tire size I went with. Underbody just straight paint, or rhino liner type? I like those seats. Scrub, scrub, scrub is all I can tell you. I use a mixture of Tide/Oxyclean/and Downy. Works pretty well. Always kind of wanted one of those split back seats. Found a few in yards, but they've all been ripped up badly. Car's coming along. Keep it up. :thumbright:

                      • Thanks batstiva, I went with straight gloss black paint, 'cuz there was already a type of undercoating on there, so I just wanted to spruce it up a bit. I'll get the seats cleaner one day, just don't know when I'll find the time too.. I love the split rear seat, even tho I barely ever fold down the seat lol.

                        • Thats good to know about the escort MC, I might try that on my B6 car with the aspire swap. Still not getting the braking I would expect.

                          • I would say the best size tire would be 195/45 R14. Same relative OD as the stock tires. Found a website to check tire size... http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Pretty cool! Only downside is, there's no graph. It's pretty much a visual guestimation.

                              • you have to go and get a mounting kit to use that wheel... i think they are about 20 bucks or something...
