Maxtiva update

  • If anyone have the dash out of there car can you take some pic ot the plug under the dash I have 5 plug I can't remember where they plug. They are all in the same spot on the right of the steering column (sp?) if I remenber right. If you don't mind can you take pic of all the plug in this spot and tell where they go?

    I also have a plug under the hood I can't remember where it go. It is with the plug that goes with the rear tranny sensor. It is a black wire with green wire. I'm almost sure it's for the front tranny sensor but they are both female plug. Do you know if it could be this.

    • are these the plugs you are wondering about?



      they are the ones that plug in to your lights/wiper controlls up by the steering wheel...

      the two sensors on the trans are for nutural and reverse... the back one is for nutrual and the front one is for reverse... (small plug is reverse and the big one is nutural) a tip so you dont have to splice wires, just unscrew the sensors out of the festiva trans and swap them to the g series trans... much eaiser than cutting wires and junk...

          • Here is a small video of the car from tonight. It's the first startup from my festiva since the last two year so I'm proud about it. The problem is the car won't rev over 2000 RPM (or go into boost) and won't idle if my feet is off the gas that why I rev it. If I don't rev it the engine stall. Do you guy have any input?

              • yes it is but it's only the BP U-code vaf I ordered a B-code RX7 vaf 3 day ago. I also blow the main fuse after the first startup I replace it by an other one and it didn't blow

                • are you running the 4 wire tps? have you checked that your injectors are working? and got spart on all the plugs...

                  • Yes I'm runing the 4 wire TPS. I did not check for the other 2 but I will tomorrow. I will borrow a friend to help me. I'm out for tonight it's 00:35 here and i'm working in 6 hour and half. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks Mike

                    • ^^Sounds like its firing on all 4 cyl to me, so i would say the spark plugs and injectors are working fine..... do you have any vacuum leaks? my V6 would not idle when i first got it running and it was because i did not make a block off plate for the EGR valve causing a bad vacuum leak

                      And for it not making boost right now, my B6T did not make any boost while i was not driving it, it only made boost once i started driving the car so wait until you take it for a drive then when the car is under load, it will make boost

                        Yes injectors and spark are OK. I also make sure it was firing on the good cyl. I will look at the timing during the weekend.

                        I will try some stuff during the weekend to detect if I have any vaccum leaks. And for the boost I was also thinking about driving it to get in boost but I have an other problem the car won't go over 2500 RPM

                        • You will not make boost free revving it unless you are wide open bouncing off the limiter and only if your turbo is not too big.

                            • Ok the boost problem is solve. Now the other why the car won't rev over 2500 RPM ?
