this is just my opinion here, but i think the front fenders would flow better if the crease was kept more level with the belt line on the door and soften up the transition between the fender and door on the last 4" or so of the fender.

    but that's just an opinion.

how the heck are you widening your track width? I need about 1.5 inches per side, just trying to figure out the most solid way to get it done. I was thinking of moving out my lower control arm mounts the distance needed and then I would add a 1st gen escort or tempo sway bar.

I know what you mean. That is how I had them originally....

But the sad fact is you realy can't make them look good no matter how you aproach then, you are having to make such a large flair in such a small place, only a couple inches behind the tire and door. I was temped to do something like this. The prototype shogun used an old IMSA style fender, just flair it out and leave the back open ..

I added the higher crown/ belt line later because I knew I was going to have to do it in the back and wanted them to match a little.

Theres no dought about it, its going to be an ugly duckling when its done. I may blend the front a little more were they meet the door but not much more I can do. They also stand out right now becuase of the miss match color.

The finished car will be a light silver, this will tend to hide some of the extream body mods... I hope

i've always been a fan of vented fenders up front... the trick to making it look right is to make a stationary insert infront of the door (under the fender) to continue the line of the body (instead of just having a gaping hole).

yeah I have aspire lower control arms on my aspire already...

I want to widen it some so I can work a few "magic" drivetrain mods that will make things indestructible transmission wise.

white would have been my first choice but since It was silver from the start Im cheating by not haviong to worry about all those "hidden" places that are a pain to strip mask and paint.

OK if youre going to ask my advice. Heres my thoughts on what youre trying to go for in terms of looks.

I am mindful that youre looking for more of a step and that your step is more rounded than whats on this Porsche. But IMO this is how the fenderwell opening should wrap around the tire.
