Fred, it's looking sweet!! Hopefully I'll be able to see it in person here within a month
-
Woo!! It moves again!!
How it looked this afternoon...
And here she is after I worked on it for a bit, and one of my friend unexpectedly stopped by and helped wrench on it tooI feel accomplished, I wanted to get it rolling again by the end of the weekend and I already did that
Next week is the start of my easter break so I'll have a ton of free time to spend on the car then!
Anyway here's the after pics:
Finally out of the barn again.
..And in the garage now
I'm loving how this thing is turning out so far, the red calipers and drums look sweet with the red hockey stripe, and the wheels look nice like always. Gonna look way nicer than the green one did IMO.. and white festy's are one of my favorite colors.

Front brake swap is done except for swapping out the tie rod ends and hooking the brake hoses up
Still up on jackstands..
Back on the ground, starting to look sweet I think
Can't wait to get the back brakes swapped, and see how the car looks then. After that I'll be able to move it out of the barn and onto the concrete parking spot by the garagethat'll make working on it alot easier..

Also going to scrap my two parts cars, and sell alot of my parts off. Decided to cut back to one since I'm gonna be going off to college in the next year and need to have one, good, reliable car to drive.. the 93' has been anything but reliable so far
and I got burnt out on the list of things to fix growing bigger everyweek I drove it pretty much  Chose the 89' also because I want to do a B6-E swap on it.. and the 89' FI set-up is perfect for that, and this car has more sentimental value to me.. it was the first festiva I ever drove out on the highway

Got a little bit done today, but got sidetracked with some other things so I didn't get to work on it as much as I wanted to, and then it started to rain, but progress is progress..
"New" wheels/tires for the 89'
A sad festiva..
The aspire swap (has 80 something k miles on it), and LCA's, sway bar bushings, struts, tie rod ends that are being swapped over.. (only have 1200 miles on them)
On the 89'... drivers side is partway done, still have to swap over the tie rod ends, and I'm also swapping the aspire swaybar onto the 89'
Thats all for today.

Update!
Old exhaust is removed now, along with the front suspension, and within the next week or 2 the car will get a aspire swap installed, a new radiator, and a few other things.
Today I removed the stock front suspension/brakes from the car.
Goodbye!

Some progress..
Removed the rear suspension beam, need to redo the brakes and replace the pass side spindle.
Going to get this beam sandblasted and then repainted, and reassemble it all.
Good news! the 6 bolts that bolt the beam to the body came out easily and the car is nice and solid at the mounting points
Also removing this crappy exhaust thats on it right now.
And I've been removing some more of the A/C stuff

Update: My 93 is running great and it being a awesome daily driver, so that makes this one my new project, hope to get it done mechanically by this spring/summer so I'll have 2 festivas to drive. I still plan on doing a B6-E swap and aspire brake swap on this 89' festiva. I have the time to build it right now.. the only thing I'm lacking is the money for parts and such  looks like it's time to sell off some of my extra parts to fund the project.. or get a job.. or both

Today I got the car to run right again, the reason why it was running bad before was because it had a 90-93 VAF on it, and that was making it run really rich/rough. Whenever my parents were driving the car and it was acting up they took it to a shop and the mechanic thought the vaf was the problem and put one from a 90-93 onto the car. I found the original VAF to the car today and installed it, and it's running good againI might give the car a tune up and replace some bushings in the front suspension, and a few other things, and then start daily driving this one instead of my green one for a while.

It's Alive!!!
Amazes me that they can sit forever, and still fire right up. Batstiva sat in my barn for most of a year, hooked it up to a lawnmower battery, and she fired right up. Think she wants out.
