ok so here are some pics with questions

first of all do i have to take this off the back of the back of the trany for the rear mount to seat correctly? and will that drop the motor alittle cause i need it

    heres the rear mount

heres the front bottom mount with q's (max did an awesome job on the mounts by the way)

heres how it mounts up. it doesnt sit low enough to be bolted to the other side bottom front mount but the top side motor mount is high enough to bolt in (but the top motor mount does not sit far enough to the drivers side). plus i had to remove the slave cylender to mount it?

heres the stock bp mount on the crossmember (bushing side). is this what im supposed to use?

and finally here is the max mount beside the stock one

here it is on the motor

    and another one

sorry i dont have some pics of it in the engine bay but ill get some tomorrow to show the fitment issues. but i hope this at least gets it rolling thanks for all input and or criticism

You need to use the festiva mount on the x-member. I will try to explain it to you the best as I can. You need to move the festiva x-member mount like 2 inch toward the rear bolt on the mount go on the front x-member hole and you need to drill a new hole for the front hole. if someone know what I want to say can you say it more clearly.

Take that bracket off. Use just the one that max sent you. On the front trans mount you will have to redrill you holes in the crossmember. Bolt the engine and trans together and install the passenger engine mount and see where the others need to be.

ok so we got some work done today. we got the top motor mount in and dropped the motor in. problems still exist though... (i know im going to catch heck from you guys for this) ...but any way, the way the top mount made the motor sit it was still very far to the drivers side. so i tried beating the frame rail, dropped the motor in but still didnt give me enough clearance ...so i cut the frame rail

that gave enough clearance but still tight

here is the space the top motor mount gave me on the passenger side i thought it would be tighter but it sat with too much space between the pullys and the frame. this is why i cut the other side so the trans would drop in

pic of the space on top mount side

another question i have is about the lower trans mount. it sits with about a 1 in space. it is not tight to the trans when motor is dropped in. the motor and trans needs to be shifted to the passenger side about 1 in to be tight (i tried the mount flipped both ways and the one with less space is the one i stuck with) sorry no pic for this. thanks for any info

huh? what do you mean by drill another hole? in the actual mount (bushing side) or the part of the mount that is on the car? i did think about this but wanted to wait to here from you guys about it first.

so i guess i should get under the car and measure the space that the bottom rear mount needs to come over, then move the top pass mount accordingly. is that what you are saying greg?

The car itself. You can only move the hole so much before the mount hits. It's about 7/8ths of an inch. I would recommend doing that. It'll give you another inch to work with. And I'd be willing to be that the trans is off by about an inch. Alot of people forget that the b8/bp are 1 inch longer (wider) than a b3/b6. I had to drill mine. It's alot easier than trying to figure out a measurment on the bottom side. Hope this helps. You also have my phone #, so if you need text/call me.
