well so far so good. the motor is in and its solid! so now ill wire it this week matt (resuwrected ) is getting married this weekend so give him some best wishes. ill still get some pics up that we took last sat but unfortunatly the camera didnt want to work this sat this has been a major learning experience for me and for a wile there i didnt think it would get done. matt took my clutch pedal to fab a push rod on it so even if i get it running this week i cant drive it but thats ok major progress has been made and i will be done befor my wedding and thats all that matters.

well im at it again and going to try to finish up this swap but i need help wiring. so heres where im at i have the festiva injector harness wired in and installed/hooked into the harness and a few other things as well but i have a mass of leftover plugs and wires and for some reason the some of the wire seem like they should reach over to the pass side like for the alt but wont reach??? maybe im all wrong but matt even said the wireing didnt look the same. i bought the car from silv3rbull3t and he said he had to change some things to accept the b6 sohc but doesnt remember what (i have a b6 in my white one and there was only the maf sensor and the thermo sensor i think) anyway im hopeing you bp guys can point me in the rite direction and help me identify some of these wires plug

ok the first pic is a VAF connector, the next two i'm clueless on, the next 3 are your STI connectors (6 pin and 1 pin) and fuel pump testor (2 pin), then your tach connector (white 1 pin) and alt harness (in that order). not sure on the next one, but your right on the thremo switch (not sensor), then 2 more VAF connectors.Trees aren't kind to me...

matt came up the sat before last and we got this sucker started there are just a few minor things to button up before its released from its cage (shifter bushings, o-ring on an injector thats leaking, welding the downpipe on to the exhaust... a few other small things). props to matt (resuwrected) he is a big help and a good friend for driving 3 hours 1 way 3 different times to help me with this. heres a pic

me and a few friends tore my wifes wrecked omni it was an all day event but we gutted that sucker then a guy showed up to buy some parts and he is shoving an srt4 motor into an omni there are only a few people on the turbo dodge forum who have ever done this. that thing is going to be a beast. we are going to race when i turbo my bp and he is done with his swap even though i think ill get my but handed to me on this one
this is why i didnt get a chance to get to the jy in a few weeks my wifes car was in our driveway and i didnt want the landlord complaining so i had to get it stripped and get it out of there.Last edited by bobbyspider; 07-26-2011, 09:37 PM.

Alrighty I'm reserecting my old thread and since its my thread so I don't think ill be in danger of a monsoon hitting but I just wanted to update the progress
She's up and running but I was having issues with the linkage so I took it off and rewelded that seemed to work. Over the weekend I just had to Finnish up a few things and drain /replace the fluids so I did that (BTW there is a place other than the speedo sensor to fill the tranny fluid resuwrected found it for me) . Well just like anyone else who has been working on a swap for danger near 2 years I wanted to drive it but its still open header but I said what the heck its only 6 pm we're good. Started her up let her run about a half hour made sure all the fluids were good and nothing was leaking bla bla bla. Up untilled fixing the linkage I couldn't get into the first second fifth and rev gears but it all shifted good now. So I put it in rev pulled out into the parking lot behind my house and drove it gingerly so I then drove it harder but still seemed to be in third or it was just so loud that I didn't punch it enough. Then I decided to take it on the road so I did just that. One lap from the road below me and then on the second lap a Guy was standing in the street but I knew why was up so I pulled up and apologize and he's all good he just thought it was too loud. So I went back to the garage and when I pulled inhere was tranny fluid pouring out so I actually thank God that Guy came out when he's did or I would have lost a tranny. It was coming out of the pass side output shaft seal so that was a releif as well (that it was only a seal) so all the tranny fluid poured out on my floor and in the pan it was everywhere and that stuff stinks when its just all over your floor. I got under there car all up in the tranny fluid and it looked like my xr2 axle popped out. Could this be the reason for it feeling like it's in third when it should be in first. I'll write more later

so it was the midshaft not seating in completely. is it possible at all to drive on 1 axle because i dont think my midshaft was making contact at all. i have to modify the holes on the custom midshaft bracket so i popped it out last night and tried to seperate it from the rest of the axle and it wont budge. matt and arty both tried walking me through it ( im always bugging those guys pretty much everytime i work on either of my cars so i tried beating on it with now luck either my only option was to climb under and use my cordless with a drill bit to open up the holes a little and boy was that hard and still not done because i gave up and called it quits for the night when i started cramping up. my origional plan was to bring it to work and use the drill press but i couldnt even break the hub nut loose i am so close to having this thing done and its so frusterating to know that and its just abunch of little crap holding me up. and i need to weld the bp down pipe still and my friend with a welder keeps flakeing out on me, he was supposed to come over last night with it but he was a no show. ohh well at least im learning something.... still sucksLast edited by bobbyspider; 12-01-2011, 09:51 AM.
