Thanks to Joseph (htchbck) work has begun on our 93 blue Festiva. Last week he replaced a rusty headlight. Yesterday he took care of axles, bearings, seals, brakes, tires and wheels. Today Amanda is getting an alignment.

Things left to do: tail lights, front and rear bumpers, suspension, struts, timing belt, gaskets for engine, water pump, drivetrain, a/c, stereo and speakers, repair door ajar alarm (dont' know how many times the dome light has drained the battery because we didn't notice the door was not fully closed), fix clearcoat that is peeling on roof, hammer out dent on hood.

Sorry, she hasn't given me any pics yet.

Had a great evening yesterday working on the car, complete aspire swap done and the escort alloys and tires that used to be on my lil blue back in the day. It never ceases to amaze me what a difference in appearance can be achieved on these little cars just by throwing decent sized brakes and wheels on them, even though I've done it a ton of times. Bled the brakes and when it was finally done my fiancee and I went in and had some awesome fajitas with Amanda and a couple of her friends. Also realized I forgot some stuff I was supposed to bring, like lil blue's old power mirror setup and a new release knob for the backseat, lol. But then again I also found a brand new set of front pads for the Aspire swap that I never got to put on before the red car bit the dust. One thing I didn't do was get any pictures, I keep meaning too but my hands are all grimy and dirty so I don't want to get out the camera and once I'm finished and my hands are washed I forget. Oh well, one of these days, lol
      No festiva for me ATM...

^^ You know the rules. Pics or it didn't happen.

Kidding, of course. I follow the time tested method of meaning to take before and after pictures, but end up only taking after pics.

I keep reminding her. Hopefully tomorrow I can get her to take some, and then I'll post them when she comes home for a few days.
