Here's the pics from Sunday's work! Sapphire Britstiva 2.0 is almost done!!!

First thing I did was sand the roof and wiped off the dust with a damp rag. Then i taped off the roof and wrapped the car in plastic. (I learned from the first time around doing this that overspray is a real hephor to deal with! No way was I going through that again!)

I parked the car in the sun and let the white bake for a while. Once it was dry and no longer tacky, JiminyCricket and myself began laying down the pattern. Then began taping off the red sections.

Here's of shot of Jiminy acting crazy! I called on him to help since he's got long arms! LOL

I trimmed off the overlapping tape lines and the design began to emerge!

Once I sprayed down the red, I quickly removed the tape and paper. This is to ensure the paint doesn't dry over the tape line and rip up as the design is moved.

I then moved the car back into the sunlight to bake!

We tucked the excess plastic in the doors to keep it from being ripped off while the car moved.

The next step is to tape off the red and white and spray down the blue! Hopefully this coming weekend.

              Thanks guys! Here's another update!

The final step to finishing the roof was to tape off the red areas and prepare for blue paint!

Remove all the tape before the paint dries (again to keep from having the paint dry across the tape line and rip off during tape removal).

Here ya go! The finished roof!
