I learned to drive a straight on my dad's 85 thunderbird turbo coupe. Mistake! lol! My two favorite kills were an 85 monte carlo SS and an Iroc with a 5 speed. That was before a lot of people knew the coupe was just a 4 cyl. When they got beat by a ford in their chevys it hurt their feelings. When they found out it was a 4 cyl they were just humiliated. 85 was the last year before intercoolers were stock. Dad found out what they did and installed one. Then he turned up the boost. The boost warning light /alarm was always going off. He stayed in it. Mom would be tripping out. Dad was getting his jollies. Boost gauge hit 27 psi! Man that thing was fast!

Awesome car Greg! And one of my all time favorite colors. You know I'm all about some Fox bodies I was a Mustang guy way before I was a Festy guy :silent: I owned an 84 Cougar XR-7 with the 2.3 Turbo for almost 14 years. It was a total sleeper and I still miss it to this day. That car (and my friends 323 GTX) were the 2 cars that originally got me hooked on turbo cars.

Greg loving that toy. GREAT example of a clean fox. I much prefer them without the factory body kits. Awesome toy!

now don't get me wrong, I want that XR4Ti in the worst way, but the red alternators punch me in the face like Mike Tyson, they got to go... to me they are VERY distracting visually.

Ive got a 1989 gt hatch that I put a cobra bodykit on, and i have a 1989 merkur xr4ti with still a stock t3. I'm pretty comfortable around those things, I've owned 4 fox bodies.
