  • MINIGUNS hood / input needed.

Just to be different I made this out of steel .. dont ask me why.

so should I leave it as steel and finish, ( paint body color) lay a layer of carbon fiber DI NOC over it or use it for a plug to make a fiberglass one ??

It will be getting a vent inlaid in it to vent from underneith the hood.

    money pit

Before putting the vent, make a mold and make a fiberglass copy (or as many as you want, I'm sure they would sell). I would not use a sticker over that hood. The front is looking great!

I like it, it'll look great painted. What's the plan for the vent?

When I spliced a scoop from a Subaru Outback into my hood I had to fabricate a splash pan to deflect water to the rear of the engine so that it didn't get wet in the rain. It has worked well for the last year..

For being made of steel that looks pretty good, i think it may look better with vents though

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

It looks awesome , but not deep enough for me (my taste). Dont carbon fiber it , if you make it in fiberglass (or the steel one) paint it to match the car.

The car may end up two tone , still thinking about that. ( two very close shades of silver )

I was thinking about making it deeper too but was trying to stay on the conseritive side on body mods, trying to make it look more factory then just tacked on over sized ricer / tuner parts. Almost impossible I know

I say vent it and then make a mold. Well make the mold with the vent cut out in it so people can put their own style of vent in that hole.

You have patience beyond my comprehension. I would have put a stocker on it and called it drivable. Looks good. Can't wait to see it in two tone(there goes my patience problem again).

looks amazing if you make copies they will sell for sure you already know i want the full on bodykit you might aswell make the hood too an i better start getting some money together ....just imagine if you could sell enough hoods and wide fender moulding to eventually cut the cost of the build that would be kool
