Why not ship over the RHD parts instead of the whole car?In love with a MadScientist!:thumbright:
There's a fine line between breathtaking ingenuity and "That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen!"

Havent been working on the car for a while, currently renovating the place where im staying. Did quite a lot today though.
Firstly i cut out the crappy radiator supports the bustards at burson auto's gave me. Not too sure what im going to do about that yet, might just have to buy a junk yard support.
I was a little worried about the engine at the cap the oil looked really bad burnt with heaps of deposits, took the cover and im really happy, not too bad at all.
Took most of the junk to the tip today water bottles the radiator etc.
Pulled most of the interior out and took all the wiring out.
There is A LOT of wiring! This cant be an obd1 engine.
Going to be doing a lot of splicing and dicing.
Took the ecu out, it is a HUGE ecu never seen a b3 ecu like it. Also pulled out a "unit-tws" which i have no idea what it is hahaha. If someone could enlighten me on that, it would be appreciated.

Looking at all the wire and electronics from your scavenging (and these are old cars by today's standards) makes me lust for the good old days when you could run a loose engine on your workbench with nothing but a gas can, siphon, set of cables and a battery.

I though i might update this thread. Ive been a little busy ive gone back to uni and for the last week of the holidays i got incredibly sick.
For the aspire i completed :
- Remove trans and axles
- Clean up wiring
- Remove fuel pump
- Remove strust tie rods knuckles lca's rear beam
everything except for the engine rebuild.
With the wiring ive got it all separated and thanks to a kind member on this forum i have inquired 33 pages of wiring diagrams for the kia ecu...... all in german, so i spent a day translating to english. I just need to weed out the wires i dont need.
I also picked up another free f series transmission and finally removed the f series flywheel from the carb b6 i have.
Im thinking that im going to get someone in and tig the rad support on for me.
Next week i hopefully want to get the suspension disassembled and painted and install the week after that.93 Ford Festiva WA (project car)
