  • FRX Festiva with a first GEN RX7 drivetrain

I am not allowed to post pics yet. But Jack of festear and fessup fame has started building his FRX. His donor is a first gen RX7. He has the engine and trans already mocked in place! The shifter is mocked. The trans hump and firewall from the RX7 are mocked up! His talent is mind numbing

Paul, is this build going to be a "front mid engine" like an RX7 or will it be put more in the rear?

          Also, RWD, I assume.

I'd love to see a Wankled Festiva!

Just tell him to have it ready for FM5!

I need like 1000 pictures and a very detailed build log on this to archive... absolute magic. This is going to be a VERY strong contender for best sounding Festiva, no lie. So excited!

Yes sir, front engine and RWD. FM5 will be out of the question. He takes his sweet time. When he gets irritated he works on another car. He says the fessup could have been completed in 6 months. It took 2 years. He does it for fun. If the "skeeters" get on his nerves he quits and grabs an iced tea. If the cold gets on his nerves he will come to my dad's garage and laugh at me trying to work.

He made a deal on the RX-7 when he bought it. $500 for the RX-7 delivered and a a steering rack and set up from what ever he chose. He said he would use a 70's mustang or pinto probably but that a lot of cars would work.
