  • it was on its way out... it just decided to go take a dump this morning... it never even got to see boost before it let go... only after i knew it was blown i took it for a spin, know its not good for the motor but i just done care anymore... if i have to, ill get a new block, head and what ever else i need at the junkyard...

i did get the exhaust done today... i was expecting it to be way harder to fit that it was... i started at 9:30 and was done by 12:30 it was so easy, and there is still tons of room, i was expecting it to be very close to the tank and body but there is still a fair bit of room

    before

after a bit of fitting and welding...

    and all done

    vid comming soon....

it dosnt sound like i wanted it to, but it still sounds ok...

      • Pretty flipping sweet! I wished I could hear the exhaust in person it sounds pretty loud in the video. I wonder if a fart can on the end would help make it quieter.

no fart cans for me... i HATE them SO much... it sounds better in real life than in the vid... my camera is a POS for vids... its ok for pics but the vids are junk im gonna try and see if my new phone will take better vids lol...

as you can see i put an extra v-band at the end of the pipe to i can install a muffler at the end... im thinking about getting a vibrant "stelth" muffler, i have seen a few civics at the track with them and they all sound very nice...

Nice! Yeah, I just meant muffler on the end. I've heard that muffler, sounds pretty good. You made it look super easy, it's nice having a lift. I feel like a bum for having Capri exhaust now hahaha.

                      • Send the head in for some port work and replace your mains while its apart. Slap a head gasket on it and boost away. Do they have copper headgaskets for the BP, also if you havent already, ARP head studs would be ideal! Copper head gasket and ARP's, that engine would be damn near bullet proof.

                        • Replace the headgasket and ride! I put one on mine about 2 yrs ago. New valves and seals resurfaced the head yadda yadda. Never had a problem since. Used the stock bolts too. Gets daily beatin! Get the head done and should be good to go 12's

                          • Very nice :thumbright:

Personally, if the headgasket was cheaper then a new motor, that's what i would do lol

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

                            • 3 layer metal headgasket and head studs. That motor should be reliable up to 300whp daily driven......rods and pistons would be nice insurance.
