Zombie, as has been said the most important thing is adjusting the nut behind the wheel. I've gotten 50 MPG in city driving with my B3 EFI 5-speed, using hypermiling techniques and 155/80x13" tires. Other little details not yet mentioned are making sure your rear wheel bearings and brakes are not dragging.
90 Festy (Larry)--B6M (Matt D. modified B6 head), header, 5-speed, Capri XR2 front brakes, many other little mods
09 Kia Rondo--a Festy on steroids!

I've had the itch to convert my festiva in a zombie apocalypse vehicle for awhile now. Cool to see someone else goin for it. I think I might just have to do it now! How far are you planning on going with it mod wise? Zombies are no joke. They are coming....soon.

I'm not so much going for the Zombie Apocalypse Festiva yet as I am a high mpg car. Though i may add it to a future car. As far as a ZAF would go modwise in my head it would also be super gas efficient but other necessary mods would reduce that. I will maybe do that with my 2nd or 3rd festiva.

I plan on learning about cars while working on this festiva. Then after that I plan on making a High performance Festiva, and then A Zombie Apocalypse Festiva. Racing car then zombie car or vice versa either way i need to learn first, (or i'll just change the fuel efficient festiva into the ZAF later.

I plan on getting the best mpg out of this sucker i can.

I've been thinking that with all the trouble i'm having finding a festiva maybe i should do an aspire swap but i was unsure of some things. What I was thinking was

                  1. Use the Ecu from a 96 or 97 to upgrade to obdII, transmission, and engine from the aspire in the festiva

                  2. Use the suspension, brakes etc, from aspire for the festiva

                  3. maybe use some other stuff such as a/c if i can

most of the stuff in an aspire should just swap over to a festiva right?

Unless i get addicted to the aspire, but i much prefer the body on the festiva atm it seems a lot roomier compared to the aspire
