I'm starting this thread to finish this long project :thumbleft:
This is how it looks when I got this banger for more or less $420 bucks
Sorry I'm only using my mobile for pics.
It was only cranking and I was trying to start it so I can drive it back home. After several hours of attempt, I have it towed. After few days, I found the culprit, the fuel pump's hose inside the tank is leaking big time. So finally it fired up so I drove it, for a while the breaks were working. I was thankful that it didn't start when I got it otherwise, I won't be here to write this thread.
this is a partial stud conversion when I did the drums.
The I discovered roller painting from google so my wife and I sanded the whole car. I didn't know that red is one of the hard colors (black and yellow are hard too). After several coats (I can't remember) which taught me roller painting skills it's still not working so we stopped for a while. BTW I'm only using an oil based enamel manufactured here.
Finally, I decided to paint it with a classic color, sky blue.
This is my first coat
second coat, promising
third coat (i'll take shots)
I'm now prepping the bumpers, converting rusts, and stripping lots of body filler
and I'd be repairing some rusty panels as well. I'll use rivets only.
This forum is very encouraging and inspiring. Whenever I'm loosing my enthusiasm, I just logged in here
