  • Neglected Festy

Life has been throwing some crazy curveballs through the last few years and I was forced to roll my poor old Festy behind the shed. Well now I've rolled it back out and getting back to business!

It a little rough, paint has faded badly, bumper cutout from the previous FMIC looks bad, ridding on oem mk2 jetta shocks with cut springs. The motor and chassis is top notch, only 45k miles on it!

The old 12in tires were severely dry rotted, so I threw the 15x8.25 wheels from my miata on it. Looks like a mean bulldog lol!

I'll be fixing it up and doing a simple turbo b3 setup again for now.

    Well here's a few pics....

Thanks everybody, LOL at the A-team scheme, thats the first thing we thought of after we did the paint job! The wheels are XXR 527's. They look amazing in person, although I really need some flares to cover the extreme rollerskate effect.

And no, there's way too much sentimental value in the car for me to ever sell it, thats why it took a nap for a few years behind the shed lol.

Well as it be with me being sort of a "wheel skank", I'm already scheming something else up...I still need to put these wheels back on my miata anyways lol.

Thinking about a nice 13x8 wheel and doing a mild stretch similar to what I have on my 15's. Flares will be going on as well, the JDM rivet on style.

I really regret selling my coilover setup, going to be picking up another set soon.

Going to repaint the whole car white. (any other color ideas???)

                Carbon wrapped hood.

Finish my Stylus front bumper, looking for a Corrado rear bumper.

Well anyways...it's late and I'm rambling lol.

I'll post updates as they happen.

Updating this a bit...Not much that you guys haven't seen yet, but wanting to keep everything together.

                  Paint...

Painted up the car, went with an olive drab green body with matte black hood and accents. The engine bay has been resprayed gloss black as well.

                  Body mods...

I'm in the process of cutting my fenders out similiar to the "Baby Rocket" Pride but with some flares.

                  Thread here - http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=41618

                  Wheels...

I orederd another set of the xxr 527s as seen in the previous pics, but this time I went with gold instead of chromium black, also ordered 195/45/15 tires for the shorter sidewall over the 195/50/15 pictured previously.

                  Engine swap...

I pulled the b3 turbo setup out and replaced it with a BP01 sohc B8.

                  Thread here - http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=44211

                  Wire tuck...

I did a full wire tuck on the engine bay, hiding everything that I could within reason.

                  Thread here - http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=44439

More to come soon...will be moving on to interior mods next.
