After building many custom race cars and street cars & trucks, I am now going to build a car I have wanted to build for 10+ years now. 1993 Festiva.

We found our car in Detroit for $350.
I drove it home at 60 mph because 5 gear was broken. No exhaust past the firewall & a broken drivers seat. The ride home was great. All I could do is smile because I was dreaming big of the build that was to come.

We just bought a farm house & I have a few other projects that i need to finish before I can focus on the Festiva.

    The GOAL
    To build a wicked go-kart.
I want people to walk up to it and say, "WTF did you do"

    MOTOR
2.3 turbo or small block ford

    TRANS
Definitely going to be a stick.

    REAR END
8.8 out of a fox body stang

    TIRE
    28x10.5 drag slick out back
    3.5 skinny up front
wheelie bars mounted high thru the bumper

    1/4 mile ET
    Shooting for the 9s
Will probably roll it out running in the 11/10 range for testing

I will keep updating this as I go thru the build, I do expect it will start slow thru this winter.

Sweet!! I'm glad to see you truly are going to follow through with this build!! I look forward to seeing pics/progress

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I found the thread about Rich's 460 project, but the pics don't work...

Here is a pic of an old member ( Festiva351w) that had a 351W powered Festy that ran 12.90's @ 106 (traction issues). Also is a link to his website.
