  • Finally a b6t swap for my festy.

Well thanks to shadetree i can now say I am finally doing a b6t swap to my beloved festiva. It is getting a full aspire brake swap as well. My car has been with me since I was 16. I have wanted to do this for so long and I am so excited to get it finished. I am also putting the KIA transmission in my car. I would post up some pictures of everything I have done so far but I'm not sure how to do it. If anyone would would help with that it would be great. I will keep everything posted when I can. Should be working on getting the motor in my car tomorrow.

I hope so. My one friend has a Mazdaspeed protege and wants to race me to see who is faster so I hope to have it good and ready to go for maplegrove next year. I want to see how it will run at the track.

        With a B6T, I bet you'll beat your buddy's mazdaspeed

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

And thank you for posting them for me. I guess I need to get a Photobucket so I can post pictures of other projects in the future. I can't thank you enough for letting me get this car. Can wait for the finished product. Hopefully I will get the engine in tomorrow. I'll keep everyone updated.

Could you possibly get some detailed pics of the wire splicing you had to do under the hood? Whenever I read the other guides I get confused on exactly what is happening under there lol.

So you bought the whole car to do your swap?

I haven't got to in depth with the wire yet. I just got the hole drilled in the fire wall and started putting it where it needs to be. I will take close up pictures when i get involved. I am using most of the harness from the other festiva. I'm color blind and this is going to be a little bit on the tricky side but I will get it done.
