bout time i guess i started a garage thread.
i guess i'll start at the beginning.
I bought a 93 manual with 230,xxxmls. It was in pretty bad shap and still is....lol.
The car was spray painted lime green and had a fender bender.
he even spray painted all the weather stripping for me..(how nice of him).
okay
went JYing and found a few goodies for it. the whole hatch as my hatch is rusted on the lip. sanded that hatch to the bare metal...I found a spoiler from an early vw and put it in the new hatch. I am currently molding it to the body for asthetics. pics coming soon.
I got the whole front driverside corner of frame and welded it in to fix the fender bender and crooked grill/lights/hood/and bumper. Pic coming soon...its not pretty but it works and its straight.
I replaced the shifter from the tranny back as this one had broken clips and would fall through the floor onto the exhaust pipes.
I am currently in the process of sanding (well grinding) the entire car to the bone because of the rattle can job was horrible. I currently have the hood, fenders, and part of a door sanded to the metal.
I got some z24 sideskirts i plan on FG'ing to fit the festy as soon as I get the wheel wells sanded and exposed for what they really are. The previous owner has sooo much bondo on there it looks like a hornets nest...no lie.
I am not really doing anything mechanical as of yet...I am concentrating on the body for now as it is pretty bad.
thats about it for now...i will be updating this at least weekly.
