  • Ironstiva (pimptiva) continued

So I'm still working on getting Ironstiva inspected, they felt like being verry picky... Biggest issue for me currently is wheels and tires, I don't wanna buy tires for the 13's so I'm forced to buy wheels. SO... Anyone have opinions about, or reasons why these Konig backbones in 15" with 38 backset would or wouldn't be a good choice?.. I'd rather have 14's honestly but they seem hard to come by in similar styles, and I have a few concerns about rubbing, i'll have to go measure again and look to see if I can adjust the coilovers up a bit.. (any previous pimptiva owners have experience with this suspension setup and 15's?)

That's my exact wheel. I had to roll fenders and use spacers in the rear. It fit best with a 195/45/15. But hard to find and 195/50's are inexpensive. Not sure about your coil over setup.

i know i was just messing with ya, i meant to say "weren't". i had 15's with 195/60's in the front and they only rubbed when turning sharp, the back would rub on LARGE bumps but a little fender rolling would take care of that! i think you'll be fine if you run around a 195/50/14? someone that has more experience will chime in, i forgot to take into consideration your on coilovers' i was on aspire suspension.

Doing good overall, just a few minor things that had to be put back in for inspection... Well I ordered the tires and konig backbones, Got the tires from tire rack today, but the site I ordered the wheels from says theres none in stock, and none currently on order from konig... so I either order them from amazon/ebay for an additional $100, or pick another style. I kinda like these (Motegi Racing MR116, Drifz 304MB, ICW Racing 213MB) but drifz's would be even closer to rubbing with a 42offset, I'm sure Ill need spacers already.. and the mechanic says only up to 1/4" are allowed in Pa?. Might just have to spend another hundred bucks that I really shouldnt, hmm...

I like the ones with the red pinstripe, assuming you have a red or black car.

I had 1/4" spacers on the back with the 15's on that car. Man I miss that car, if you ever think of selling it send me a PM. If I remember correctly the fenders are already rolled on it. I ran 195/45/15 Kumho Ecsta (spelling) tires on the rims.
